ICAD

I am pretty heavily invested in ICAD at around $9 a share. Watch this one. iCAD, Inc. provides image analysis, workflow solutions, and radiation therapy that enable healthcare professionals and radiologists to identify pathologies and pinpoint cancer earlier. It offers Axxent eBx system, which is used for the treatment of early stage breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and skin cancer, as well as for the treatment of other cancers or conditions where radiation therapy is indicated. It also provides computer-aided detection (CAD) solutions for digital and film-based mammography systems, including SecondLook systems that detects and identifies masses and micro-calcifications; and PowerLook Advanced Mammography Platform, a computer server residing on a customer’s network that receives patient studies from the imaging modality, performs CAD analysis, and sends the CAD results to PACS and/or review workstations. In addition, the company offers image analysis and workflow solutions in MRI imaging comprising SpectraLook for breast, VividLook for prostate, and OmniLook for other organs; and VersaVue Enterprise, a review and reporting solution, which provides visual and quantitative depictions of the movement of contrast agent through a lesion. Further, it provides VeraLook that supports the detection of colonic polyps in conjunction with CT Colonography; and the TotalLook MammoAdvantage system, a mammography specific digitizer. The company sells its products to hospitals, ambulatory care centers, and free standing radiation oncology facilities. The company sells its products directly, as well as through various original equipment manufacturer partners, distributors, and resellers worldwide. iCAD, Inc. has a strategic alliance with DermEbx. The company was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Update

Sold DATE, see no momentum after a 30% gain, WPCS is my attention for an hour. 100% cash now, look at all options tomorrow.

Day Trades

Holding DATE and WPCS, WPCS is a late day mover so watch it toward the close. DATE is a longer term Chinese Match.com play. Over 90 million users and growing, the P/E ratio does not accurately portray the growth story, probably due to the hesitancy of investing in Chinese companies. I hesitate too but some Chinese companies are legit. Sold PERI options for a loss, lesson learned: do not speculate on buyouts bc they never happen when expected. Looking at KORS, at $69.40, great earnings and increased guidance, Goldman ups it's $90 price target to $100. Bought LQMT at $.155, order to sell at $.165, good till cancel, seems like an easy play, easiest trade ever!!! Took out the $.165 in less than 30 minutes for an easy 6.5% gain. Awesome. Stop loss on WPCS at $3.60, if it hits my stop loss I am still up over 10%, trade to make money!

Tuesday, August 6, 2013

Days trades

It was a very mixed day as DATE retracted and WPCS went up, PERI did not do much, but did it on the downside. I think DATE has a lot of value so I am not concerned, if WPCS has another great day i will sell some of it, PERI was a long shot from the start and like I said, I am looking at many companies including: UVE, HMNY, MCOX, VLTC, and XGTI, I will keep you posted. Austin

Monday, August 5, 2013

Day Trades

Bought PERI 09/21/2013 $15 call options, possible take out candidate but sale is not guaranteed, I am going to use a stop loss and sell if the stock itself drops below $12. This is the catalyst if the article is true: I cant post a link for some reason, copy and paste the following: http://thenextweb.com/insider/2013/07/10/israeli-browser-toolbar-giant-conduit-expected-to-split-up-and-acquire-perion-incredimail/ Bought WPCS on a technical rebound, plus the CEO has just stated that he is looking for a shareholder value proposition. Picked up a small position at $3.21, looking for $4.50-$5.00 a share. Bought ticker DATE on a huge up day at $8.90, it is the Chinese version of Match.com, should be huge! Could be a longer term buy recommendation though. Bought more DATE at $8.70, very bullish on this stock Bought XGTI at $5.48 Austin

Thursday, August 1, 2013

Mazor Robotics (MZOR)

Evolution in technology is essentially the gift to this generation, mine was the internet. Technology will transform our society into a seemingly indefinable population for those who have the financial ability to attain or want the science. MZOR has done something relatively simple in the aspects of human science, they use robots to fix us. That is so cool! Essentially a surgeon's hand is not as stable as a robot and all the big machines in the hospital might cause cancer, X-ray. Well Mazor, is using 3D imaging and their real asset is their robots technology. This is not a Da Vinci CyberKnife, but rather a robot that pinpoints the exact point of operation and ensures that spot is the destination. The company has developed robots that utilize the most sophisticated 3D laser imaging, and so far have only done spinal surgery. This has actually been very exciting for the company because they have had a 0% rate of needed followup surgeries. The company just got approval for brain work, it is in it's infancy. I can tell you that the company expends very little money to pay executives, always nice to see when your money is in it. MZOR is actively receiving deals from major hospitals around the world. I think this company is going to be huge. Trading at a marketcap of $209 million and is selling to hospitals daily, who could not be intrigued?

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Sold HIMX at $5.25, bought MZOR at $14.75

Monday, June 24, 2013

Bought more HIMX at $4.78, new average is $4.98 a share

Friday, June 21, 2013

Bought Himx at $5.09, profitable chip maker with increased dividend, like it even without the google glass rumors!

Friday, June 14, 2013

One of my best trades

Great week, we made 7% on MZOR, I think it keeps running. Sold at $15.04, almost a $3 per share gain in a few days, awesome! That is over a 23% return if you followed me on the trade, one of my best trades ever if you consider we held the stock for about 3-4 days.

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

Bought MZOR at $12.19, robots are a major part of our future and look at IRBT's past performance.lol, I meant ISRG, not IRBT

Regarding REFR, if you held on then you have to wait until July 1st to find out about a Mercedes deal, I decided not to take the risk because the CEO pretty much lied in a conference call. I am done with REFR, hope you are too. Next pick is NTWK, i think I will just put my pick out there and you can research it, http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=NTWK+Profile , or just go to finance.yahoo.com and look up the company. http://www.netsoltech.com, NTWK company website. This is not a recommendation, just an idea. Austin

Sell Refr, CEO lied about the Mercedes announcement

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

REFR is starting to attract a little attention, that is good.  Like I said before, this remains my top pick and will be holding all my shares at least up to May 15th, maybe longer.  I watch it minute by minute everyday so if I change my mind for any reason I will tell you on this blog.

Austin

Thursday, April 18, 2013

Really nothing new to report, focused on REFR and maintain everything I have said about it.  I am sure you did not get in it at the perfect price point but nobody can really do that.  If you need that perfect price point than you should not read anything I write.  Price target is still $6

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

The difference between a trade and an investment?  You know for a long time I thought that liking a company and investing in it when its price was down was a smart idea.  However, it is a terrible idea because there is no catalyst.  I recently did this with AAPL, my thinking was clear at the time but now seems convoluted.  What is AAPL?  It's a company that attained the largest market capitalization in the world through ground breaking innovation.  So what was my problem in believing in that?  The problem was and still is that there is no catalyst.  I simply believed that this great company will revolutionize the world again.  They did it with the iPhone so why cant they make a watch just as ground breaking?  I don't know, maybe they can, the point is I acted on the impulse, I believed that AAPL is so great that they will come out with something great again.  I have no information to work with except for their past performance.  As information becomes instantaneously priced into the market, acting on past performance is simply stupid. AAPL is an investment that offers some dividend protection and should continue to grow, slower than we want but it should still grow.  To trade AAPL with no catalyst was not a good idea.  Well, I did have expectations for a catalyst, I thought there would be a substantial dividend increase, but that was based more on expectation than substantial information.  AAPL never said it was going to increase its dividend, I just expected AAPL to do it.  Unfortunately I am not the CEO so I traded on what I thought should happen rather than trading on actual information.  This is why I love trading micro cap stocks.  Important information is actually stated in conference calls.  The best part is that institutional investors pay no attention to these companies and their conference calls because the market cap is too small for them to make significant money.  The best stocks in the world are followed by the dumbest players in the market.  Why? Because they are attracted to the number of shares they can buy and the possibility of hitting a ten bagger.  That is why when I was 14 years old I invested in a company that supposedly made laser keyboards.  Just looking at their shitty website and zero sales should have given it away, but the idea in my head of using a laser as a keyboard seemed so cool that I threw money at it. Stay away from these scams, better yet you should short them.  The important thing to remember is that micro cap stocks provide you the opportunity to find legitimate stocks that are screaming undervalued and have real catalysts.  Because these legit companies are not claiming that they found a cure for AIDS or just figured out how to eliminate hurricanes, they are heavily shorted and that is why I rely on the catalysts.  The catalyst is do or die time.  If a CEO makes it clear that a big deal with Mercedes is going to happen then all I can do as a trader is look at the CEO's credibility.  In the case of REFR, the CEO checks out and all the executives have bought stock on the open market.  Essentially they are frustrated with the stock price.  There is no doubt that REFR is a choppy stock, but that is not the trade.  The trade is the main catalyst.  The CEO made it clear that on May 15th the Mercedes S-Class will be introduced at the Hamburg, Germany Autoshow and REFR's Smart glass will be an option in it.  This is the catalyst and if that catalyst does not transpire, it is then that I sell and move to the next great company that has a viable catalyst.

Trade smart,
Austin

Rough market today.  Prayers go out to the people of Boston.  Fundamentally REFR has not changed and I currently hold a large position in the stock.  This is still my favorite pick for the month of April, however, the beta dictated the decline today, that is the way the market works.  Picked up some KTOS due to its growth potential and because its a defense stock.  $VIX spiked 43% today, hopefully my options strategy from a few weeks ago gained you some money today.  Sticking with REFR

Friday, April 12, 2013

Concise REFR Research

REFR currently operates in four main industries using their SPD-Smart Technology; automotive, aircraft, architectural, and marine.

The company recently reported 2012 results which included: Fee income increased from $846,000 in fiscal year 2011 to just under $2 million in fiscal year 2012, representing an absolute increase of $1.1 million year-over-year, and a relative increase of 131%. 84% of REFR’s fee income is attributed to the automotive industry. This is positive because our catalyst for an increase in stock price is the May 15th launch of the 2014 Mercedes S-Class that should have REFR Smart Glass as an option.

REFR has $13.4 million in cash, enough to fund their current operations for the next five years. This is positive because there is little need to issue new shares to raise capital so share dilution is not a risk for a short term investor. Remember we are only holding this for a month or two.

Institutional ownership of REFR increased from 8% to 20% and as more institutional investors become attracted to the company, more analysts are starting to follow the company. Currently two analysts rate the company as a BUY. Kevin Douglas, the guy that bought a 20% stake in IMAX when nobody believed in the company is also heavily buying shares of REFR, supposedly owning over 12% of all shares outstanding and still buying. http://www.valuewalk.com/2012/02/kevin-douglas-the-greatest-unknown-investor/

Question: Why has REFR’s stock price been dropping?

Seth Van Voorhees - Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Business Development

Obviously, this is a hard question, we can’t control the stock price, it is the market that does that. I can tell you that we are – we are disappointed in the recent stock price performance with declines. We are disappointed for a number of reasons, most of the management have significant personal stakes in this company. In last year, we reported as in aggregate management and directors own approximately 15% to 16% of the stock in this company which is both a significant personal as well as professional investment. So, we believe strongly in the value of this company and very much want to see strong stock price performance from both a personal and professional basis. I think the best thing that we can do is get to a breakeven and profitable basis and we hope to do that as quickly as we can. And until then, we are going to continue to try to do everything that we can to make Research Frontiers an attractive investment whether it’s – we were talking about improving liquidity, improving transparency and communication with our investors and getting our message out to potential new investors as well.

Questions to Joseph Harary- CEO:

Does REFR expect additional announcements concerning additional luxury vehicle models?

Joseph Harary: Yes.

Am I still optimistic from our October 12th presentation that SPD will be in another production vehicle behind the SL and SLK by July 1, 2013?

Joseph Harary: Yes.

Can we comment on recent articles that describe a special event being held in the automotive industry to launch a new S-Class and also comment on reports that the S-Class will use Research Frontiers’ SPD-SmartGlass technology?

Joseph Harary: I’m somewhat limited because we have NDAs in place with all the world’s major auto companies, so we can’t say anything definitive until they say something. However, I can say that the automotive press usually get things right and also this is because there is a good dialog between the automotive press and the automakers. And these articles are awesome, very incredible publications. And to those who have not read the articles, they are saying that the new S-Class is being launched on May 15th in Hamburg, Germany and that the new S-Class will be in showrooms this September and will offer Magic Sky Control as an option. So, while we can’t confirm this at this time, if this SPD SmartGlass did appear on the new S-Class, it would be a highly significant event for Research Frontiers.

Austin Malone- This was the REFR research I promised, sorry for the wait, in conclusion I like this CEO and I like REFR.  His answer to that last question almost made me laugh.  I mean he could not be anymore direct in telling investors that the Mercedes S-Class will incorporate REFR's Smart Glass Technology.  That is awesome.  This stock should run up in anticipation of this deal, right now the deal is really unknown so the stock has not moved much but as May 15th approaches investors will jump into this stock and the more than one million shares shorted should get squeezed.  Price target $6

Thursday, April 11, 2013

Time to buy REFR, trading at $4.25

If you have not bought REFR, now might be your best opportunity. Should go up later today and into tomorrow. My price target leading towards May 15th is $6 a share so you have plenty of upside. The CEO has made it as clear as he can without breaking SEC rules that the Mercedes S class will use smart glass technology. The CEO says that this will benefit the company financially in a great way. Also, the CEO knows that the stock price is way too undervalued, he actually said that. Executives are also picking up shares as well as the guy who bought 20% of IMAX when nobody believed in it. This stock could literally double.

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Bought ONVO at $3.71 based on a double bottom. I am holding this company due to a partnership with Pfizer and Autodesk. Furthermore 3D printing is a hot trend in the market and I think this company should go up 10-25% from its current price in the month of April. Their management is confident and is releasing information about some of their tests on April 22nd. What I am looking for is a run up toward this announcement on April 22nd, I have no intention of holding this stock when the news is announced or after news is announced. I am simply looking for the run up to the announcement. This stock has the potential to reach $5 a share because its volatile so use a stop loss if you buy it. My number one pick for April remains REFR and is my longest position. The important thing to remember about REFR is that you have to be patient because the catalyst is May 15th. If you go back to my older posts you will see that the Mercedes S class is going to be unveiled and should have the option to include REFR's smart glass. Stock will go up its just a matter of when.

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

Picked up shares of ECTY as a small speculative trade. More of a technical momentum based trade than anything else, looking for a 4-5% move tomorrow and ill sell, bought at $1.18 and will put in a stop at $1.15.

Friday, April 5, 2013

KTOS

Bought KTOS at $4.03, micro cap around $280 million, I like it because the CEO is buying shares on the open market, the latest quarter KTOS reported a wider quarterly loss due to an impairment of goodwill and intangibles expenses despite a rise in revenue. The company guided fiscal 2013 revenue below consensus. However the company is getting contracts for missile defense, drones, missile technology, etc. They are getting a lot of contracts and these should continue especially as North Korea is going nuts with warmongering tactics. Stock is rising so I am riding the wave.

Thursday, April 4, 2013

REFR announced today that they are coming out with a new power auto shade product for airplanes that the company will present at The Hamburg Germany Airshow next week. This is just one small piece of the news that is coming throughout the month and into May. The big announcement will be the Mercedes S class announcement. Sticking with this stock and am behind on putting out my report so I will get to work on it now. Long term buy TTS and AAPL 2015 leaps

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Still long REFR, AAPL leaps, and TTS. REFR should go up tomorrow as a research piece released tomorrow will drive the demand for this stock higher. At some point this month their will be another short squeeze. Price target remains $6 and as more investors become aware of REFR's technology being used in the Mercedes S class the share price will increase. I am still working on my buy analysis of REFR much of which consists of the piece from the CEO that I posted yesterday. There are other companies increasing their demand for this glass that I will detail in my report. More to come.

REFR, and other updated trades

Staying long REFR, remember this is a position that I am holding through April and into May (specifically approaching May 15, as you will read below). Still working on a report on the stock that I should post tomorrow or ASAP. Price target remains $6/share. Long TTS, APPL leaps, took some profits in CRAY but still remain bullish on this long term investment, APP price target is $3/share. I will continue working on the REFR research report and get it on this blog ASAP. Technically REFR looks great, the shorts are all in now and the stock is trending back higher, should see a pop tomorrow or in the next few days as shorts are forced to cover and hype continues to drive in buyers. I will hold all my shares. An important part of my report details the following quote from REFR's CEO Joseph Harary "Do we expect additional announcements concerning additional luxury vehicle models? Yes. Am I still optimistic from our October 12th presentation that SPD will be another production vehicle behind the SL and SLK by July 1, 2013? Yes. Can we comment on recent articles that describe special events being held in the automotive industry to launch a new S-Class and also comment on reports that the S-Class will use Research Frontiers’ SPD-SmartGlass technology. I’m somewhat limited because we have NDAs in place with all the world’s major auto companies, we can’t say anything definitive until they say something. So, while we can’t confirm this at this time, if this SPD SmartGlass did appear on the new S-Class, it would be a highly significant event for Research Frontiers."

Speculative play of the month!!!

REFR-up huge today, it will hit $6 this month. Explain in a little while. I bought at $4.17 A small piece of my upcoming story is that Kevin Douglas, considered by some as the greatest unknown investor owns 11% of the shares outstanding in REFR. He was the same guy that bought 20% of IMAX when nobody believed in it. Okay so basically the new Mercedes S class that is rolling out next month will use REFR's push button glass tint. This is a huge deal for such a small company. The CEO directly hinted at this in their latest conference call but the market cap on REFR is too small for any institutional investors to pay attention to. Price target $6 and I bet it pops again tomorrow.

No new trades today, My largest positions in descending order are APP stock long with a 4-6 month price target of $3.25, CRAY stock long with a 5 year price target over $60 a share, AAPL Jan. 2015 leaps with a $500 strike, looking to double my money, and last is TTS which is also a long term buy that could triple in a couple years. My watch list remains the same: HIMX (up 18% today), CSV, and GRPN. Larger Cap stocks I would recommend on a 5% market pullback are: FB, CRR, and NFLX. I would love to buy FB at $23 a share, CRR and NFLX are both great companies. CRR will benefit as the US becomes less dependent on foreign imports and relies more on domestic supply, this ultimately means more drilling and more fracking. NFLX is just starting its rise, I will explain my view on NFLX this weekend. One interesting idea that I noticed when shopping for a car; many cars including luxury cars were not equipped with a Satellite Radio receiver, I happened to be looking at 2008 Infinity sedans and I was disappointed that most of them had no satellite receiver. Then as I was waiting all day in the sales department I became interested in how the sales guys closed deals. They try to get you to add options. Well there were signs up behind their computers to remind them to sell the Sirius Radio package, they were selling some 5 year deal and the way they sold it made it very appealing. I was surprised that old grandmothers buying new BMW's really wanted this option, one lady did not really even understand it but it seemed like she was more impressed with the word "satellite" than what the added option really did. Everyone I listened to that bought a car added this option. Basically what I am saying is even a few years ago this option was not even a possibility because many new cars came with no receiver and so to get satellite radio you would have to go to Best Buy and get an ugly receiver and leave your car there to get it installed. I did this one time and the reception was horrible and even though I am a huge satellite radio fan I ultimately decided I did not want to hassle with the Best Buy ordeal of having them mess with the audio wires in my car, be stuck there for hours, and have an ugly receiver that looks out of place in a nice car. Now the majority of new cars have a receiver but the average age of cars on the road in the US is 10 years old, so the majority of cars on the road do not yet have a satellite radio option, but as time progresses so does the availability of satellite receivers in cars. That should mean steady increasing radio subscriptions for SIRI. I like SIRI a lot and remember trading it when it was $.30 a share, that means it is up over 1000%, could of, should of, would have, right? Long term I think this stock moves back into the $10-$15 range. Market is closed tomorrow, have a great Easter weekend and submit any stock trading ideas to AustinJMalone@gmail.com

APP was holding the $2.30 level yesterday and seems to be doing the same today as well, as long as it keeps bouncing off of #2.30 on a down day in the market then that is very bullish for the stock. As of now I am holding and might buy more if it keeps testing and bouncing off the $2.30 level. Bought more APP at $2.28 due to bull market, my optimism in the stock, high short interest, and technicals

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

APP shot up 8% today as the rest of the retailers are trading more to the downside, very bullish. TTS is probably trading lower off of misinterpreted home sales data. Long term hold and sticking with it. CRAY continues to impress me and I still recommend it as a buy. AAPL investors are still waiting on news so the stock and underlying options are trading slightly lower, could turn green as the day progresses. Piper analyst Gene Munster says they will announce a modest dividend in the third week of April and a cheap iPhone next winter. Although the cheap iPhone could bring in a ton of revenue I hope AAPL comes out with something innovative to impress the Street as investors consider AAPL a company based on innovation. Watch list: CSV, GRPN, HIMX

Trading 3/25/2013

Put in an order to sell 1/3 of my APP shares at $2.15, good to cancel so it may not execute today but that is fine because I am bullish on the stock. It is important to lock in profits when you can unless you are positive about the direction of and equity or option. Sold 1/3 of APP at $2.15 to lock in profits. Sold the rest of APP at $2.12. Bought back APP at 2.07, now that is trading, those pennies in difference from buying and selling drastically change my daily return percentage so I am very happy with this trade, especially since APP appears to be popping in the morning and is rather unpredictable after midday. If I get nervous about this trade I will put in a stop loss or sell at tomorrows market open. Sell order open at 2.14. Sold at $2.14 for a 20 minute profit of 3.38%, awesome trade. I like the way APP is trading toward the close so bought it back for the same price I sold it for $2.14, I would put a stop loss on it for $2.07 because tomorrows open largely determines this companies stock price for the entire trading session. Picked up AAPL $465 Jan, 2014 calls at $47.05, I am anticipating news from AAPL this week or next week. Looking for about a 10% gain in the options within a two week investment horizon.

Monday Anticipation

Going into Monday I am set up nicely being long APP stock, just awarded a $28 million contract for military uniforms, that's a big contract for a $250 million market cap company. Long AAPL $500 strike Jan 2015 calls, long TTS stock and it's not slowing down, long CRAY stock, up over 15% since I bought it, 5 PE ratio, long term play but is hitting new highs right now so you could trade it long as well.

Trades 3/22/2013

Sold APP for a one day gain of over 3%, I will get back in it around $1.98, great one day gain though, gotta lock in profits when I have them, for my other positions refer to yesterdays post. More trades coming later. APP is getting support at $2.00, look for an pullback today and if it holds that support then I think you can buy at $2.01 and make money on the upside. If your not trading then just keep holding this stock because it looks very bullish in the 1-3 year time horizon. Got long APP at $2.02

Trades 3/21/2013

Stopped out of MODN at $19.50, did not pop up like I expected so I cut my loss quick. Still long CRAY, TTS, AAPL 2015 $500 leap calls, and long June $16 $VIX calls. APP-should of, could of, would have, I will wait for it to pull back. Put in a limit buy order at $1.98, ended up buying APP long at $2.00, got long more TTS at $21.55, I think housing recovery and more importantly renovation is just underway and will continue to propel TTS higher. Sold June $16 $VIX calls for a loss, this bull market is not giving up any steam. The hardest thing to do when trading is cutting losses quickly because it is never fun to admit you were wrong and take a loss, but after years of trading I know that taking a small loss is much less detrimental than holding a loser when that money could be going to work on a winning trade. If you do not want to trade then look at my long term recommendations: TTS and CRAY

Trading 3/20/2013

Before market open-Entered a sell order for DEXO at $3.64 bc the stock may easily hit that number and I will take a 10% gain on holding a stock overnight any chance I get. Still holding CRAY long term, holding my $VIX protection with a 20% down stop loss just in case the market continues to hit new highs. Any big down day would make this trade profitable and I would probably sell. Long Jan 2015 $500 AAPL leap, it will be up at market open, overall AAPL has very limited downside, they can only mess up with bad earnings or failure to innovate. Both of these scenarios are unlikely although an earnings miss is not out of the question. TTS keeps moving higher and I am considering buying some to hold long term in my Roth IRA. Update as I trade through the day.--------------------Got long TTS at $21.23, housing renovation recovery will be great for this growth stock. Market Cap is still under $1 billion and growth into nationwide expansion is just starting so this is what I like, a company with minimal downside and a ton of upside. This is a great risk/reward ratio, I would say $5 downside to $20 upside this year. Buy it and if you are worried put a $19 stop loss on the trade. Bought another Jan 2015 $500 AAPL leap, Samsung is now littering the market with news, this is frightening everyone, but AAPL has always kept product innovation secret until it is ready to present something incredible to the consumer. Investors are fearful that AAPL is dumbfounded and that the company has little to offer in the future. Unlikely------------------Had to sell DEXO at $2.29, lost money on the trade, still long term bullish and will keep an eye on the stock. Got long MODN at $20.03, looking for a pop as institutional investors take positions in the stock.

Trading 3/19/2013

APPL leaps I talked about in my last post held up well at the open but started trailing with the stock so I sold 2, still long 1 contract. Gotta lock in profits and not take chances on turning a profit into a loss. Ill update this post later. Oh, I also bought 2000 shares of DEXO at $2.41, then 1000 more at $2.39 this is a 3-5 year story that I will trade and explain when I have time later. Merger with SPMD will go through and this company will gain a tremendous amount of strength, this is an underdog story that I think can at least double this year. Got long 10 June 19th $16 call $VIX contracts at $3.08 an option. Did this for protection against a correction and Cyprus contagion fears. ------------------- Back to AAPL, the company may report a massive dividend increase after the market closes, I am still long AAPL ------------------- DEXO-Dex One Corporation, a marketing solutions company, offers various solutions to promote businesses on the Internet through its proprietary search engine marketing product, DexNet. The company’s solutions include assessment of marketing programs and advertisements, message and image creation, recommendations for advertising placement, industry-specific research and information, market-specific research and information, in-depth understanding of how consumers search for businesses and what influences them to buy from one business versus another, and mobile and online Web site development. It also offers online reputation management, online video development and promotion, Dex published yellow pages and white pages, search engine marketing and optimization strategies, keyword implementation, social strategies, and tracking and reporting, as well as Dex Mobile, a mobile application; and CityCentral, an iPad application. The company also provides printed yellow pages directories, including core directories, community directories, and plus companion directories to meet the advertising needs of local and national businesses and the informational needs of local consumers. In addition, it offers digital products and services comprising DexKnows.com, an Internet yellow pages site, which enables customers to find local business information, as well as to refine their searches, such as specific product and brand names, business name, hours of operation, payment options, and locations. Further, Dex One Corporation provides marketing solutions, such as local business and market analysis, target market identification, advertising and digital profile creation, and distribution strategies. ------------------- DEXO/SPMD long thesis-Dex One Corp (DEXO) and Supermedia Inc. (SPMD) were popular purchases for institutions due to their upcoming merger which is expected to close in the next couple of weeks. Both trading at market caps less that 25% of their free cash flows, these two advertising companies have huge upside potential. Popular? Really? I guess if you ignore that over 20% of the float is short, the debt is trading subpar and that the companies make phone books you might be allowed to sit at the popular table… but there is nothing popular about these two purchases, unless you count popularity by my personal blog roll, and then by all means, apparently I should be a fashion icon for what is popular in the future, because it’s definately not popular when i get involved… i mean nothing popular trades at 52-week and all-time lows. Perspective is everything. There is a lot of upside here across the next couple years. Contributed by "The Whiz Kid" Glen Bradford, follow him on the web at www.globalspeculation.com

Trading 3/18/2013

There was a lot to consider and think about during today's market open, Ill call it a fake out panic. I did not like the price action on APP so I sold all my shares at $1.91 and plan to get back in between $1.80 and $1.87 because the stock is loosely traded and can move to those levels with relative ease. Still long CRAY. I got long another AAPL Jan 2015 $500 leap contract at $49.00 and one more at $49.50. Total of 3 contracts long. For you new investors there are 100 options in one contract so you have to multiply the price of an option times 100 to realize the contract cost. This small idea has turned into an investment of over $15,000 and could easily double as Apple rebounds even as Europe continues to report crisis after crisis. Samsung is trying to sell the Galaxy4 with some eye scrolling technology, sounds like the potential for a massive amount of frustration and simply an irrelevant technology. Blackberry will appeal to some business professionals but will not really materialize into anything Apple investors should fear, BBRY is too small and threw everything possible into one device. Basically as these semi-competitors fail to innovate Apple is rebounding. Based on this it seems to me the best investment with the least risk are these AAPL leaps, AAPL equity downside is less than $50 where the upside is around $150. This is a great trade as AAPL will announce an increased dividend and is developing more new technology that Samsung will copy next year. Keep innovating Apple.

Trades 3/16/2013

Started off long American Apparel, ticker APP, positive earnings to end Q4 2012 is very bullish especially for a forgotten company with a market cap around $200 million. I think this goes to $2.50 without much resistance. Bought AAPL JAN 2015 Leap with a $500 strike for $41, contract cost $4100 so just bought one but ended the day at $45 so already a +/- %10 move to the upside for me. 6 month price target $80-$85, so I plan on doubling my money, would sell and take a loss if AAPL stock trades below $415. Holding super computer maker CRAY based on the prospect that super computers will increase in demand. Demand will increase as government agencies and companies accept that solving problems such as weather storm detection can be solved with the use of super computers. CRAY is essentially the hardware leader in noncompetitive super computer market. Holding for longer term ROTH IRA investment, not a trade. Looking for a 2 year 100% return. Looking at The Tile Shop, TTS. If you saw how Lumber Liquidators stock shot up then this is a compelling story due to their ability to be essentially unaffected by Home Depot and Lowes. It will be interesting to see how fast this company grows and can increase their revenue over the next 3 years. I see very little downside in this company and as the housing recovery is beginning to ramp up their same store sales should really benefit. Have fun trading, Austin Malone
